Best time of year for a holiday:
As far as the best time for a trip to Chile is concerned, the country can be divided into three zones: North, middle and South.
The North is suited year round for a holiday due to its average daily highs in temperature, which rarely fall below 16°C.
The middle part of Chile, which includes the capital Santiago de Chile, is best suited from November to March for a holiday. During that time the temperatures reach their peak (up to and beyond 30°C) and the average precipitation is at its lowest.
The same applies to the South, however the temperatures can be much lower in the rest of the year and the South also tends to have much more rainfall than the rest of the country. This is made up, however, by the very distinct charm of its magnificent landscape.
All in all, it can be said that Chile really is a great place to visit, especially if you like travelling within a country that has lots of different and unforgettable impressions to offer.
