It is very difficult to travel to Pitcairn. Even the cruise ships that head for the island sometimes find it difficult to unload their passengers due to adverse conditions (no proper harbor etc.). Nevertheless, tourism plays an important role in the island's economy and trips of up to 10 days are possible.
